One of the core advantages of UV/EB curing technology lies in its environmental friendliness. During the traditional furniture painting process, solvent-based coatings release a large amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which not only pollute the environment but also endanger the health of workers. UV/EB curing coatings use reactive thinners instead of organic solvents and produce almost no VOCs emissions. Take a large furniture enterprise as an example. After introducing a UV-cured coating production line, the VOCs emissions were reduced by more than 95% compared with the previous use of solvent-based coatings. It successfully passed the strict review of the local environmental protection department and also avoided high environmental protection fines and potential production suspension risks for the enterprise. ​
Meanwhile, the curing speed of this technology is extremely fast. Uv-curable coatings can complete curing within seconds under ultraviolet radiation. EB curing is completed in an instant. This highly efficient curing process significantly shortens the production cycle and enhances production efficiency. In the past, when natural drying or thermal drying methods were used, the drying time after furniture coating could last for several hours or even days. However, with UV/EB curing technology, the next process can be carried out immediately after coating, increasing the production capacity of the production line several times.
